Larry Fagin was born in 1939. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in English Literature, and did graduate work at the Gutenberg Institute in Mainz, Germany . From 1971-1976 he was co-director of the St. Mark's Poetry Project in New York City, and he edited a poetry magazine, Adventures in Poetry, during this time.
